The Vindicator is a bi-monthly, student-run, multicultural magazine of Cleveland State University that advocates creative cultural expression and seeks to elevate the level of social justice on campus, in our communities, and throughout the world. It was established in 1970 and originally was an African-American publication. The magazine was started in response to a racist cartoon published by The Cauldron and served as a voice for African-American students on campus who felt that they were not being heard. It was later agreed that The Vindicator would not only be a voice for African-American students on campus, but for all those who felt that their voices were not being heard.
